Research profile of the University Medical Center Bochum

In the heart of the Ruhr region, Bochum University Medicine stands for modern, networked and patient-oriented research.

Our aim is to shape the medicine of tomorrow with internationally leading scientific methods and regional ties. In close cooperation with various faculties and departments - including psychology, biology, chemistry and social sciences - we are driving forward innovative solutions for the challenges of modern medicine.

At our interdisciplinary research centres, we bring together expertise from medicine, the natural sciences, computer science and other disciplines. Together, we develop new perspectives on complex scientific questions and strengthen interdisciplinary research at Ruhr University Bochum.
